Goodbye to Gil

As if things weren't depressing enough over the loss of our friend Ann, and the unexpected passing of my friend Laurie's husband Dan due to surgery complications, we found out on our way home after dropping Grace off that Gil had passed.  It was devastating to hear.  It was a very long drive home.  I think I cried the whole way.  I called Patti when we stopped to eat.  I could not believe all that happened in a short amount of time.  It was horrible.  Gil was in his 80's and at least he went peacefully at home.  It was very hard to say goodbye to so many people at once.
