Finally 15
The day has come and you are 15
How can that even be so?
I know I say it every year
But the years just come and go
It seems like yesterday you were my little baby
And I would get to hold you everyday
But somehow you are a teenager
And getting closer to driving away
You've had quite the ride
As you started your freshman year
High school was a new world for you
Even though it's down the street and near
You took the standard classes
Algebra, Geography, English, and French
You also took honors biology
And PE, well you'd rather sit on the bench
You made high honor roll
And we are so proud of you
You worked so hard
And joined the French Club too
In fact you are going on a trip
Paris, Milan, Florence, and Rome
To Europe is where you'll go next summer
That sure is going to be a long way from home
You are into K pop bands and Anime
And you like to watch Stranger Things
In fact, that's your birthday party this year
And you've started decoration your fingers with rings
You still love green
And have lots of great friends
You play lots of games on your phone
And hang out with the neighbors outside til the day ends
You are still in Girl Scouts
And earned your Silver Award
You bridged to Seniors
Now to work on the Gold before you get bored
I can't believe you are going to be a sophomore
My how the years do fly
Soon you will be driving a car
And we'll watch you as you whiz by
I want you to be happy
And go for your dreams
Have fun and try your best
Nothing is as hard as it seems
