How are you already 12 years old?

It seems like yesterday you were my baby

The years go fast I've been told

You started middle school this year

And you are in 6th grade

You are in honors classes

And made the high honor roll with straight A's

You are smart, that's for sure

But you are also a sporty guy

You like to play all of kinds of things

Even though sometime you are shy

You tried out for a new baseball team

The JR Stars is now who you play for

We did a short fall season

You played lots of positions and scored

You are now learning how to be a catcher

Pitching is a thing you like too

You work hard and play hard

Your love for the game is true

You are coming out of your shell

And putting yourself out there

You joined the cross country team at school

And ran with JV with time to spare

You have made some new friends

And still keep in touch with your old ones

You've become close with the neighbors

And play outside with them tons

You still like your video games

And plain hamburgers are what you love to eat

Although you are starting to like spicy

And using Daddy's hot sauce, you may have him beat

You still love blue and orange

And the Cubs are still your favorite team

Although Rizzo got traded this year

That is sad and kind of mean

So happy birthday to my favorite guy

Neve stop being you

Go for your dreams, no matter how small

And don't be afraid to try something new

I'm so lucky to be your mama

Before I know it, you'll be a man

I love you so much Bubby Boy

Happy Birthday Evie Beanie!

12 already?  My oh my!

It seems like yesterday I was rocking you to sleep

And listening to your sweet little cry

This year has brought about many new things

You started 6th grade and middle school

You are in honors classes too

Now that is pretty cool

You are a good student and get straight A's

You started playing the clarinet too

Even though you are shy, you're making new friends

I am so very proud of you

You joined cross country

Running might be your thing

You even got bumped up to varsity

I can't wait to see what next year will bring

You also started tumbling

And you are really good at it

You almost have your back handspring

I bet you'll have it in a bit

You are my little diva

You can pack quite a punch

You are always full of drama

But always willing to have Panda for lunch

You love to bake cookies

And shop, especially if it's for you

Target and Walmart are stores you like

Barnes and Noble is one of them too

You love to read

And have many books

You always have a new series

And flying thru them every time I look

You also love Christmas movies

We often watch the Hallmark Channel together

We get cozy in your Vera Bradley blankets

Moments like these, I'll treasure forever

You still love pink

And anything that glitters and shines

You have a beautiful smile

I'm so glad that you are mine

So happy birthday Evie girl

Never stop being you

Work hard and make those dreams come true

Happy 14th Birthday Grace! (a few months late)

 Gracie Girl turned 14 a few months ago.....

Happy Birthday to my Grace Girl

You are 14 years old today

It seems like yesterday you were my little baby

I would like that back if I had my way

You've really had quite the year

You wrapped up your time in junior high

Your 8th grade year started remotely

You eventually went back in person as time went by

Because of Covid-19, there wasn't much to do

No clubs or sports were going on

But you still kept in touch with your friends

I'm glad you had formed such strong bonds

You worked hard and made the honor roll

And you sill played the clarinet in band

You were recommended for honors biology

As we set to make your schedule for high school land

Yes, you are getting ready to start high school

You will be going to Plainfield South

So many changes have been happening

Including glasses for your eyes and braces for your mouth

I know you are going to do great things

Never stop going for your dreams

You can do anything you want

Nothing is as hard as it seems

Continue to be you and don't ever change

I want you to be happy more than anything

I will be behind you no matter what

Supporting you with whatever life may bring
