10 (Presley's Poem)
How can you be 10 already?
It seems like yesterday you were my baby boy
I remember holding you in my arms
and watching you play with your toys
Now it's double digits
and you are 10 years old
You keep growing and learning so much
You can be quiet but very bold
You still love baseball
This year you played for the Yahnkees and the Mets
You did great at pitching and shortstop
And the Cubs are your favorite team yet
This year you'll be starting basketball
You are so excited to start
You've been practicing in the driveway at home
And now in a new sport, you'll take part
You've turned into quite the gamer
and you love to play Fort Nite
You wear your headset and talk to your friends
Now that my boy is a sight
You are a Webelo
and active in Cub Scouts
This year you sold a ton of popcorn
Teaching life skills is what it's about
Your favorite colors are still blue and orange
You love to wear your swishy pants
and you always wear Nike shoes
and you love singing silly chants
You are a good student
and in 4th grade at school
You don't like reading that much
But in math you rule
I'm so proud of you
You amaze me everyday
You have a kind heart
And treat everyone the right way

My baby girl is 10 today
I can't believe you are that old already
No matter how hard I try to stop time,
I'm not ready
Now that you are double digits
How fast time goes by
I've enjoyed watching you grow
Even though the years flew by
You are already in 4th grade
You are a good student and love to read
You read to me every night at bed
Books are always something you will need
You still love your dolls
And play with them nearly everyday
We even went to Babyland where you adopted Aurora
You are going to make a great mommy someday
This year you started cheerleading
You dance and cheer your little heart out
You have your first competition coming up
You'll be the best one without a doubt
You are now a Junior Girl Scout
and we have lots of fun
I'm still your leader
and badges, you have a ton
Your favorite colors are still pink and yellow
You like to wear stylish clothes
Everything needs to sparkle or glitter
And you love to accessorize with jewelry and bows
You like makeup and nail polish
Princesses are still your thing
You were Princess Jasmine for Halloween
And Taylor Swift is what you love to sing
I'm so proud of you
You make me happy everyday
Your smile lights up a room
And I love you in everyway
