Children's Museum

On this day, yet another cool day on spring break, we headed up to the Children's Museum. We had taken Gracie here last summer and she loved it! I knew Evie and Presley would too. Apparently everyone else had the same idea, maybe they were on spring break too or there were a lot of bored stay-at-home-moms today because this place was jammin'.

We headed straight for the water first. (just in case we got a little too wet, we would have time to dry). We put on some little aprons and splashed around.

Gracie went in the little water bubble and we had fun throwing water over on her. The babies thought that was hilarious. Next it was time to play with bubbles. We tried making a really big one but then guess what happened? Gracie tripped and stepped into that big ring full of soap and got her pants and shoe all soaking wet! Told you we would need time to dry out before heading home.

(whoops, forgot to turn it around) So we did try to dry her off by going in the big wind tunnel. All of my kids refused to wear the goggles that the workers kept giving to us but they would just yank them right off. Who knew playing with air could be so much fun? Presley really liked it. Especially when he was playing with these vaccuum tube things. He thought that was really cool.

After that, we headed to the music room. And I have no idea who this girl is in this picture. I am going off my mom's camera because my memory card was full. Yikes! Oh well, just thankful my mom was there to cover my picture-taking butt!

If you know my son and his obsession with drumsticks and such, then you knew this would be right up his alley. He loved banging his little stick on all the pipes.

In fact, all of them did.

Gracie liked the water the best, but this was Presley's favorite spot hands-down.

But we also had a lof of fun climbing the rocket ship

and driving the cars.

This was Evie's favorite part.

We played just a little bit longer....

until Gracie actually laid down and said she was tired.

So we headed home with all 3 kids asleep before we even got out of the parking lot.

Oh, and we became members too! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Hanging Out

Today we had fun hanging out with our girlfriends Allie and Emma.

Gracie and Allie played well together while Presley flirted with Emma. H hugged her and then knocked her down. What a gentleman. Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for some 4-wheeling. Last year Gracie got this cool Barbie Power Wheel jeep from Grandma and Grandpa for her birthday. She wasn't too into it then, but she totally is now. And so is Evie. They took off into the sunset.

And then Presley needed his turn too. Just because the jeep is pink and purple is no excuse for a boy to ride.

Evie and Presley can't wait until their little feet are long enough to push the power button on this baby. Watch out!

Presley opted to carry along his safety water pistol....you know, to protect his sisters.

If only it were warmer though. We are sick of winter hats and coats!

So after that, we headed home to do some puzzles.

Tomorrow: and outing to the Children's Museum.

Mall Madness!

Well for spring break, we are not having spring-like weather.

So what do we do when we can't play outside?

We head to the mall. In our case, 2 malls in one day!

Today we went out for breakfast to the Crispy Waffle. My kids, well 2 out of 3 of them, love to eat. And they polished off a plate of 6 silver dollar pancakes. So after we stuffed our faces, we headed to the mall to play at the "park." Lots of other moms apparently had the same idea because there were lots of kids there already and the mall wasn't even opened yet!

We walked around and Gracie saw Thor's hammer. Daddy is very excited to see this movie. It's his favorite superhero.

After the first mall trip, it was home for naps but some kids had other ideas. Like playing in the dolly pack-and-play.

Later though we did make it up to another mall. This one had a merry-go-round!

So we paid the ridiculous price it was to ride it so Presley and Evie could go on their first ride! Neither one of them smiled while they were going around and up and down. But they didn't cry either. They just held on tight and looked serious.

I think it was safe to say that the liked it. That's good! We will have plenty more opportunities to ride again when we go to the zoo if the weather ever warms up. And the price will be more affordable.

Oh, and guess who Gracie rode? The panda bear of course!

Then it was time to visit the Disney Store. The store is no longer at our mall so it was exciting to go in one again. Evie and Presley had to wait outside as they were tearing up the store so they waited outside and watched the merry-go-round. They had a lot to say as they watched it.

Gracie left the Disney Store happy as can be too because she got a new Tangled Rapunzel doll!

Then Daddy took Gracie on some elephant ride. Again, probably not worth the money, but Gracie and Rapunzel liked it anyways.

Then the mechanical rides were spotted. Like the ice cream truck.

The racecar.

The ice cream truck again.

And again.

And the racecar again.

And a choo-choo train.

And then everyone split up and rode by themselves before we headed home.

Lesson of the day: Malls are fun but can be expensive. I can't wait until it gets warmer and we can get fresh air and do things that are free!

Spring Play!

I could write several posts about how busy I am with working full-time, dealing with the shananigans with my husband's job, or millions of other things (which is why I haven't posted in a long time) but all I have to say tonight is that the kids and I are on

Spring Break Baby!

Yep, that's right! No more rushing around in the morning, no dropping kids off at the babysitters, no paying a babysitter at least for 1 week, and so on.

It was nice to wake up and not have to run around picking out clothes, getting dressed, packing lunches, etc. Instead, we laid around in jammies and then got ready to go play!

We went to my friend Jessica's house with all my BFF's and their kids. Evie and Presley had fun dining together while eating lunch.

Gracie and Scotty had fun eating some pizza.

And everyone had fun playing together. And by all I mean Scotty, Jackson, Gracie, Shelby, Presley, Levi, and Evie. It's easy to tell that these kiddies will be BFF's, just like their mamas.

And Miss Gracie will be the big sis, and boss, to the whole group.

And Presley will be one that always has a good time.

I'm glad we all finally got together.

With all our busy schedules, it's hard to plan a time where we can all get together.

It's funny, because it seems like yesterday my friends and I were lounging around somewhere in college and talking about boys and where we were going out. Now, we have kids and sit around and talk about rashes, potty training, eating habits, and sleep!
