Here we go
The day is here!
16 years old already
Time to cheer!
yesterday you were my little guy
Playing with Ninja Turtles and cars
Now you are getting ready to drive for real
But you'll have to settle for a minivan this far
At 15 years old,
You really grew up
You are now a sophomore in high school
And that's just a drop in the cup
You made the high school baseball team
Although you didn't win many games
But you made new friends and had fun
And that is anything but lame
You still play baseball with the Stars
And every year keeps getting better
You pitch and play 3rd base or shortstop
Your team plays good in any weather
You got your first job this year
You worked at Heap's Pumpkin Farm
You did a little bit of everything there
And earned some money using your charm
A big event happened this year too
You asked a girl to the Homecoming dance
You came up with your own little hoco proposal
And you were so nervous, you about pooped your pants
Your poster said you weren't Morgan Wallen
But that you wanted to spin her around the dance floor
You bought her flowers and went to ask her
She said "yes" shortly after she opened the door
Her name is Allie and she's a doll
You had fun at the dance together
You hung out a few times after that
You wanted to be her boyfriend so you asked her
You're doing well in school
But you could get your grades up a bit
You're smart enough to be in honors classes
So go on, study, git!
You have a lot of friends
but sometimes you are shy
Your hair got a perm
You are such a handsome guy
I know you are excited to get your license
And be able to drive yourself around
You want to head to B Dubs first
Drive safe and keep the music on low sound
16 now but the years will fly fast
Take the time to soak it in
Work hard, play hard, and have fun too
Be yourself and do not sin
Always know that I am behind you
Go be the best you can be
Chase those dreams and live big

16 years old already
My how the time does fly
Yesterday you were just my little baby
But you've grown up these last few years
Your wit, your brains, your beauty
You are turning into a beautiful young woman
Your friends all think you are a cutie
Cheer is a big part of your life
You just finished your second football season
You love being out there on the sidelines
You were the first picked for Cheerleader of the Week for a reason
You work hard at what you do
You always give 100% and it shows
You practice hard and do it with a smile
And you neve give up no matter how it goes
You are getting ready to start another comp season
And I know it's a long season ahead
But I know you're going to nail it
And then rest in your nice new bed
You got a new room makeover this year
We even painted it yellow
You got a new bedroom set too
And now it's the perfect place to mellow
You got your first job this year too
Working at Heap's Giant Pumpkin Farm
You are so responsible
You even wake up to your own alarm
You have many friends
And you love to hang out
You are caring and sassy
But sometimes you pout
You study hard
And get good grades
You work your little tail off
And even get straight A's
I'm so proud of you
You have the biggest heart
You're beautiful and fabulous
And most definitely smart
You love to eat
And all things food
Eating our is your favorite
But baking always puts you in a good mood
You're crafty too
And always making things
You even learned how to crochet
And man do you love to sing
I hope this year brings you happiness
That's what I want for you

And don't be afraid to make those wishes come true
