Fall Fun!

Most of our weekends have been pretty busy around here!

A couple of weeks ago, we went out to Cantigny Park in Wheaton for Evie and Presley's 6 year pictures and ended up taking family pictures too!

After we walked around and climbed on some tanks.

Then of course we made it to the movies to see Hotel Transylvania 2.  It was a very cute movie!

And of course the Cubs are rocking it and beat the Cardinals for a chance to go to the playoffs! Chuck put this on at work and ran around like a crazy Cub fan!

The kids got their school pics but I was not impressed.  Looks like we'll be doing retakes next month.

Evie fell asleep dreaming of being a princess with all her princess dolls. Her two favorites right now are Elsa and Sleeping Beauty.

We went to Pilcher Park for our friend Shelby's birthday party.

We got to pet a snake! 

We got to watch a turtle race.

Then we lined up to take a nature walk.

We found this old tree and got to go inside of it!

Then we came back for some cake.

We also had the Wesmere Dash the other day.  It's a thing where the kids see how many laps they can do around the school and all the money raised goes to our PTO.  The kids each get assigned a color and you wear that color and run!  Presley and Evie were yellow.  They ran with my class too so I got to take pictures.

Gracie ran later. Since Chuck was on vacation, I signed him up to help.  He had so much fun!

He also even was lucky enough to score some tickets to game 5 of the championship series!  He is beyond excited!

These two ran 10 laps each around the school!  So proud of them!

And some pretty big news around here also is the fact that we are no longer townhouse owners! Wahoo!! This has been a LONG time coming. We have been trying to sell our old home since 2009!  

Although we are sad to see it go, it was time. Congrats to whoever buys it!

Apple Picking!

Last weekend, we headed to go pick some apples!  We ended up where we went last year, Jonamac Orchard.  We played in there fun area where there's haystacks, bean bags, slides, a silo of corn, a maze, and more!

  These two were all over the haystacks!  

They had fun going down the slide too!  It's a big pipe!

There were some bikes to ride.

They made their way through the maze.

And pumped water on ducks.

Then of course, we had to ride some ponies!

Then we hopped on the apple train!

Then we had fun taking these silly pictures.

Next, we fed some goats.

We saw a big turkey too!

These 3 are the apples of my eye!

We posed on the big rocking chair while we waited to get some yummy apple cider donuts.

And then we tried to go apple picking but it was closed!  No worries, Grandpa jumped the ropes and grabbed some and put it in my bag. We almost got caught and the kids thought he might go to jail for stealing but we at least we got some apples. They were delicious!

So after "taking" some apples, we went back to play.

Presley had fun playing Grandpa and Daddy in beanbags.

Then we rode the apple train one last time.
