This post is super long because we have had so much Halloween festivities and I haven't had time to post.
First up we went to our church's Trunk-or-Treat. Gracie went as Belle and Presley went as he says "Captain America, Iron Man."
He was so excited about this costume. Well worth the $20 I spent, plus I got Evie's Minnie Costume for free with it.
The church has all kinds of fun games run by the youth group and lots of candy to pass out too.
They even had bouncy houses outside and it was a nice night to be out there too!
The Held family joined us too. Isn't Charlie the cutest Ninja Turtle you've ever seen?
Soon it was time for trunk-or-treat. Lots of people decorated the trunks of their cars and passed out more candy.
We had a spooktacular time!
Next day we went to downtown Plainfield where they had a community trick-or-treat. It was so nice outside that you didn't even need a jacket. That meant it was super busy. Today our Ghostbuster friend Jackson joined us.
The stores on Main St. handed out candy.
And even Mickey Mouse was outside the toy store.
The next day we went to Scotty and Levi's annual Halloween bash. Don't all the kids look boo-tiful?
Lot of our friends were there. Scotty was a superhero, Levi was Spiderman, Shelby was Sheriff Callie, Jackson was an army guy, Benny was a tiger, and Gracie went as cheerleader today.
WE played a game of ring toss.
Dan read a Halloween story.
We made crafts.
We made spiders.
Then we got to eat some snacks.
We played a game of Limbo.
We even tricked the kids into taking a nap. That lasted 5 seconds.
WE played Halloween Twister. It was pretty funny to watch. I don't think my kids have ever played it.
This was the preschool group. We had to do a lot of explaining what right and left were.
Even Chuck got in on some Halloween reading action.
We had a caramel apple bar. Super cool idea.
Evie thought it was pretty delish.
These two are becoming such good buddies.
To calm down, we watched "Room on the Broom."
Jessica always goes all out for her Halloween parties. I love this!
The actual day of Halloween, my team and I dressed up as "super selves." Our school staff theme was superheroes.
That day Gracie went as Pocahontas. Good thing I didn't actually buy her a costume because she kept changing it every time we went to a Halloween event.
Halloween here was pretty cold. It even snowed a little in the morning. So that meant we had to bundle up with our winter coats and hats.
We went to Aunt Rosemary's house first because she always has a special treat for us.
We met up with our pal Colton dresses as Mickey.
HE was not too happy to stand still for a picture though.
We only trick-or-treated to a few houses that day because it was so cold. It's ok though because we already had PLENTY of candy. Enough to last until next Halloween if you ask me.
All that matters is that my little monsters had fun.
It was home to tear down the Halloween stuff after that.
Because now it's time for the best part of the year.....Christmas!
