Mommy/Daughter Date and School Supply Shopping!

Tonight was a special night because my Gracie Girl and I were hitting the town.  By "hitting the town" I mean Target and the mall.  She picked out her outfit and grabbed her purse. She put her wallet and some M&M's inside.  (The candy was for the movie later.)
First up, we hit Target to get school supplies!  How is my little girl headed for Kindergarten already?  We got her backpack a few weeks ago and now we needed all the supplies to fill it.  We had our list and we were ready to get what we needed.
She needed one folder and one notebook.  She was so excited to pick out her own colors!
We also needed some pencils, markers, and of course  crayons.  Those were fun to get.
There wasn't a whole lot on the list but we also got glue sticks, dry erase markers, and a supply box.  She was pretty excited about all of it. When we checked out, she got to carry her bag of supplies. We even bought some things from the dollar spot to put together a little gift for her new teacher!  Oh, we also got a dress to wear on the first day!  I didn't take a picture of it yet though.  You will have to wait until the big day!  (I'll be the one crying that day),
And because we haven't seen it yet.....we went to the mall to see Brave.  It was the cutest movie.  Gracie liked it but I think she liked it better that we were the only ones in the movie theater.  Well us, and Grandpa because she called and invited him to meet us there!

I love having the chance to spend one-on-one time with my big girl.  It's not often I get to that. Pretty soon though we'll have lots of time as she will be joining me at work EVERY morning!
