Children's Museum and Dinner with Daddy!

Today was a busy day. Although most days are,we like to keep busy.  Today we did a spur-of-the-moment trip to the Children's Museum in Naperville.  We haven't been there in a long time, our membership just got renewed and it was too hot to be outside. So we met our friend Jackson there.  I gotta say that I love this big chair.  Everytime we go, I take their picture in it.  It's crazy to see how big they get everytime we go there!
We did it all there in an hour and a half.  We made some music,
played light brights,
explored the museum,
played in the wind tunnel,

controled the tower,
climbed in a water bubble,
played with water,
played with bubbles,
made big bubbles,
stood inside a bubble,
got messy,
climbed through tunnels,
and did it again,

used tools to make things,
played with wind,
played with the ball track,

rode in a train,
drove a train,
sold train tickets,
and rode a seesaw.

Whew!  That was a lot.  So what did we do next?  We went to lunch. We ate at the Colonial Cafe which is really good. Plus they have the biggest selection of kids meals for cheap. They also have a cow there
This was the last happy shot for this trip because.....

pretty soon, everyone was whining, they were hungry, they were tired, they were hot.  Thank goodness for Iphones because we had 2 watching Barbie on one and 2 watching Mickey Mouse on the other.  It worked until the food came.  We are such great moms Anne and I!  Once the food came, we all had to share it because all the other food looked good except for what they had.  Anne and I did manage to scarf down our meals though and good out right before it would have been time to order a drink.
After some naps, we headed to Bass Pro Restaurant with Daddy, Grandma, and Grandpa, and Amy.  It was pretty good.
Of course we also love the store.  We haven't been there in awhile so we had to try out all the new tents.

And the cots.
Oh, and the hammock swings. I love these things!
We also got to drive some boats,
and play on boats,
and drive 4 wheelers,
and this. Not sure what it is...a dune buggy?
Aren't Presley and Evie so cute?

We then took quick play in the Promanade splashpark.
Evie's dress was pretty wet but that's ok.
Then we headed back to Gradma and Grandpa's for birthday presents.  Chuck made out pretty good with a new Cubs shirt and garbage can, some Marvel figures and ornaments, and even season 1 of He-Man!
And then we sang "happy birthday" to daddy like 5 times complete with candles on everyone's cupcake because you know how much fun fire can be!
