Preschool Graduation!

I can't believe that this little lady is already graduating preschool!  Wow, those 2 years went by fast!

Before we left for the ceremony, Gracie told us about her fabulous end of the year party on her last day of preschool.  It was beach themed and they got to play with water.  She also got some special presents for being such a great student.  From Auntie Amy,she got the new Barbie doll from the new movie coming out called "Brave."

Grandma and Grandpa gave her the teacher Barbie.
And from Mommy and Daddy, she got some Barbie phonics books so we can work on that over the summer.

And also a book only fitting for Gracie called "Panda Kindergarten."

The ceremony took place at a beautiful park in downtown Plainfield.  If you have never been to Settler's Park, you should go.  Here are the graduates walking in to the graduation march.  A tear may have rolled down my cheek....

This is not her whole entire class but it was all the little classes that make up the Great Adventures Preschool program. Gracie is in the purple hat in the middle.  Each class wore a different color hat based on what color and class they were in.

I can't say enough about the Great Adventures program.  It is wonderful!  Gracie has had some really fabulous teachers and did so many neat things and learned so much!
When she started preschool 2 years ago, she had just turned 3 and I had to put her in a class a month before to try out not being with me.   It didn't start so well but when she started preschool, it was smooth sailing.  She has done so well and looked forward to going every single day.  There was never a time when she argued about going to school.  She loved it and always was excited to show me what she made and tell me what she did, who she played with, and most importantly, who brought snack and what they brought.  We checked the calendar every night to see who would be bringing it.  Whenever I read her the name of the kid bringing it, she would giggle and then tell me something about that kid.  It was really cute.  She has made some great friends and while most of them are going to different schools for Kindergarten, a few of them will be going to Wesmere with her.
The ceremony was super cute.  Each class sang songs and then they all sang a song about being in preschool.  Melted.  My. Heart.  Again, a tear or two may have trickled down.....

She did so much and learned so many new things and I thank her teachers for working so well with her.  I hope her love for school will continue.  She is already so excited about going to "Mommy's school" and already knows that she is going to be a Wesmere Wolf!
Here is my big girl receiving her diploma.  Such a proud moment.
She then marhced out for the last time with her preschool class.
We went and gave her teachers a special gift.  A plant with a sign that said "Thanks for helping me grow" plus a speical little gift card.  (I know how much teachers appreciate those.)  Here is one of her fabulous teachers, Miss Coleen.
Her other wonderful teacher was Miss Jane.  Both teachers were also kind enough to sign a book that I bought called "Oh, the Place You'll Go"  by Dr. Seuss.  My hopes are that every teacher she has every year, will sign it and when she graduates high school, I will give it to her.  I even got Miss Deb to sign it who was her teacher last year.
Here she is posing with some of her friends, Michael, Ava, and Grace Ann.
And here is one of her special friends that she met along the way, Ava!
We tried to do a family picture but it just wasn't working so well.  Excuse my pose.
Here it is....the diploma!
Evie was so proud too.  She can't wait to be just like her big sister.  Presley was just acting like he was too cool for school.
I am so proud of my Gracie Girl. Here she is.....part of the class of 2025!
Congrats Gracie!  Mommy is so proud of you!  I know you will study hard in school and do wonderful things in life!  Soar high and you will go far!
Today is your day!
Your mountan is waiting.
So...get on your way!

Congratulations Gracie! That looks like it was such a nice ceremony! I love your idea with the teachers signing the book- I may have to use that one!
