Christmas is the Most Wonderful Time of Year!

Christmas has always and will always be my favorite time of the year! I loved it as a kid and I love it even more now that I have my own kids! I love looking at Christmases past and while they make me smile, they make me sad too. These Christmases with the kids as young as they are, are getting less and less and I want to just bottle them up and live in these moments forever.
Here are some other things I love about Christmas.

I love that every year I buy ornaments and put the dates on them so that I can give them to the kids when they are older.
I love the whole magical world of Santa! There is no other feeling than believing! I love that we can all snuggle and watch Christmas movies. This year are favorites are Mickey's Christmas Carol, Rudolph, Miser Brothers Christmas, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Oh and the Polar Express for sure! I love that the kids get excited to make crafts and bake cookies. I love that Gracie and the little ones can sing "Jingle Bells" and Bub yells out "hey!" I love that every year I say "ok, only a few things this year" and then I go overboard. Oh well, they are only that young once and it only comes once a year. I love drinking peppermint mochas to add that extra Christmas feeling!
When I have time, I love watching my Christmas movies. My favorites are Holiday Inn, Elf, One Magic Christmas, A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. And of course White Christmas. I love the traditions of pajama Christmas at my parents on Christmas Eve and on morning too. I love that they are able to be a part of my children's Christmases. I love that I put up my decorations the week after Halloween and only listen to Christmas music from that point on. I love buying the kids Christmas jammies every year so that I can try my best at getting one good picture for our Christmas card. I love that Gracie is no longer scared of Santa and can even write her own letter to Santa!
I love Christmas! There really is nothing like it!
