Today my Gracie Girl turned 4! I really can't tell you how fast the last 4 years flew by but we sure had a busy day filled with lots of memories.
Gracie woke up this morning to a towel-covered present from us.
A new bike! And a Princess one, just like this princess wanted!
She couldn't wait to grab Alice, strap her in, and take a ride in the house.
Then she wanted to open some more presents so she first opened the book that I made her. I made her one last year too. I figured it could be something that I do every year for her. It is all about all the things she did when she was 3. I would have liked to update her scrapbooks but this was easier for the time being. Maybe when she gets married, I will have those up-to-date! Ha! It is written like she is telling the story and in simple sentences so she can learn to read it! And because she is obsessed with Toy Story still, she got a talking Jessie doll! And a cupcake making kit. After opening some presents, it was time to brush our teeth. We were headed to our family playtime but before we left, Presley had to tackle Evie. That's just what he does. Poor Evie! So we headed to family playtime and had fun singing some songs. Everyone even sang "happy birthday" to Gracie. Today we even got to use some musical instruments. Presley liked that. He was so cute tapping his feet to the beat.Presley and Evie had fun playing on the slides. And then everyone had fun playing with Play-doh. And Gracie and her little sis had fun on the see-saw. After family playtime, it was time to head over to Grandma's to try out the new bike. We got her a 16-inch bike so it's still a tad big but she can still ride it like the big girl she is! Then this birthday girl got to open more presents! She got her own wooden Melissa and Doug (I love these toys) birthday cake set! She has played with this before and absolutely loved it! She also got a Bullseye game! I'm sure we will play it tomorrow!
Evie sat like such a big girl on her little pink sofa and watched her Sissy open gifts. Gigi gave Gracie a Tangled Barbie doll! Grandma and Grandpa gave her a V-Reader! It's a new reading system! She also got some games to go with it. She got Princess and Toy Story. Go figure. Then Auntie Amy gave her a cooking Barbie. And even a whole basket of cooking supplies all for her! We are also scheduled to bake some tomrorow! Presley thought that the tubes of icing were pretty cool. And then she got the ultimate girl gift.....a Princess Barbie set! I picked this up after Thanksgiving when it was cheap and on sale and held onto it until her birthday. Boy did she love this! And for whatever reason, she kept talking about getting a jack-in-the-box. So Grandma came to the rescue and got one. Evie and Presley liked it too. I have video at the bottom of the post, if you make it that far. We had lunch at Grandma's and then had birthday cake. A Toy Story cake too! And then my big girl blew out her candles. There was actually 5 candles, one was for luck. She loves her Princesses! After lunch, we went home for naps and Gracie tried on her new Rapunzel outfit from Auntie Amy.
Gracie had fun playing with her balloons that were waiting for her this morning when she woke up.
Auntie Amy made these cupcakes. Aren't they super cute? Toy Story ones!
Gracies was so excited about her party. She couldn't wait for all her friends to get there! We had Gracie's party at a children's musuem nearby. It was great because we got the entire place to ourselves. It was so worth the money because I think everyone had a great time, including the parents!
Gracie and Evie were super excited about the cupcakes.
My kids LOVED this stage. They had fun dressing up and hiding behind the curtain.
Evie an Presley joined Addie in playing with all the food.
Jacob and Luke had fun with the train table.
Gracie had a blast setting the table and making food.
Olivia had fun dressing up!
All the little kids had fun playing the kiddie area.
Jackie had fun playing animal vet.
Evie and Presley had fun playing on another slide.
Allie and Gracie explored the giant dollhouse.
And everyone had fun pushing their hands and faces into this contraption.
My smiling boy Jackson had so much fun!
I think all Evie did for most of the party was climb up the stairs and go down this slide.
After we played for awhile, it was time for cupcakes.
Gracie threw on her party hat and got ready to blow out some more candles. I hope all her birthday wishes come true!
Shelby was such a party animal!
And Evie and Jackson shared a quick kiss but my camera is too slow so I missed it. Let's just say that the by the look on Jackson's face, it was pretty sweet. Jackie and Olivia had fun eating cupcakes. So did Allie and Presley. Then it was time for even more presents. Sean and Mia gave Gracie an Easy Bake oven! Wow! Addie and Blake gave Grace some Princess Jasmine jammies and a Princess nightgown. Now she'll even be sleeping like a Princess. After presents, we had a few more minutes to play. Jackie and Allie had fun digging and planting in the rock table.
And then we tried the whole group picture. It actually went pretty well. I couldn't get the whole group in so I took a bunch to make sure I didn't miss anybody. Here ar Blake, Allie, Emma, Olivia, Addie, Evie, Presley, Gracie, Shelby, Jackie..... And next to Jackie in the blue shirt, there is Jacob, Luke, and Sean. Mia is the litte miss running away.
Gracie sure is lucky to have such a great group of friends. After the party, we were hungry so we headed to Cracker Barrel. After the birthday girl had pancakes for dinner, we hung out on the rocking chairs. And Evie and Presley hung out on the munchkin ones. Here are Evie and Presley enjoying the jack-in-the-box.
Thank you to all for coming to the party! We hope you had as much fun as we did! Gracie thanks everyone for the gifts too! Little does she know, but I am going to make her sign her name on the thank you cards.
