A few months ago, we did a befroom flip-a-roo in our household. You see, we have 5 people living under one roof and only 2 bedrooms. So when we had only Gracie, it was easy....she had her own room. Then we got pregnant with twins. Well for the first month, they slept in the living room in a pack-and-play. Then they moved into our bedroom and shared a crib. Well once they started rolling over, it was time to put up the other crib. Evie moved in with Gracie and the girls shared a room for awhile. But then once the twins turned 1, I wondered ok, when will it be fair to have our room back? How much longer does our son need to share with us? Is it fair to him? Is is fair to us? So test out the plan, we moved Presley's crib into the little room with the girls. It seemed to work so we hired a painter and repainted the bedrooms. Chuck and I moved into the little room and the kids took over the master bedroom! How to decorate it was the next question. I wanted it girly but wanted Presley to have boyish things too. Here is what we came up with.
The pictures are hard to tell I guess but the wall Presley's crib is on is blue, the wall that the girls' beds are on is pink and the adjoining 2 walls are green.
Presley's half of the room is blue and decorated with cars and trucks. His name has some wooden cars on them and I found some cute pictures, quilt and lamp to match. You gotta love Target!

The toy box used to belong to my sister. I bought some car decals and stuck them to it to make his side complete. ALthough the shelves on his side of the room contain some pink, girly-looking things, it is generally boy on that side.

Here is Evie's little corner where her bed is.

And Gracie's littled bed is right next to her sissy. I found the girls matching quilts, but different colors on Ebay. They are from Pottery Barn and in great condition. I got them for a steal. I wanted the girls side to be all flowery. Except I love the owl picture. It reminds me so much of my grandma and I know she would have loved to have met my girls. 2 owls for my 2 girls.

The hutch mainly contains pictures of the girls because we already have so much cutsy girly things. Gracie has several pictures of her with friends, her ballet picture, her school class picture and all their hairbows too.

It is a lot more roomier than being crammed in the little room.

For all their Baptisms, they each received a cross from Godparents so they are hung above the door. I like that they are all different.

And these are hanging above the window. Last summer I found these color canvas boards and every 6 months or so, I have been putting thier handprints on them and then lableing how old they were. I think it's a cute keepsake and goes pretty well with their room. I put stickers with their names on them but it's hard to see.

So there you have it. It works for now and I am happy with how it turned out. It really looks better in person too by the way. I'm not sure how long we can make this last especially when the little ones grow out of their crib. Hopefully then maybe we will have a new house. Keep your fingers crossed! Mine always are!

The room looks AMAZING Krissy!! You did such a great job making that room work. You should post it on the HGTV website. They have a place where you can post room set-up ideas and then people can vote on them and stuff. It looks great :-)
