Bouncy House

We took Gracie to the local bouncy house the other day to escape cabin fever. It's been so cold to really do much of anything. We are tired of being cooped up in our little house so Auntie Amy, Grandpa and me took Gracie for an afternoon of fun without the babies! It's important to still do things with just Gracie to me. It's hard to always find the time at home when you have two infants. Plus at this place, she can run and climb, two things she can't do at home very well. We had a blast. We pretty much had the place to ourselves too! Gracie wore us all out. It was funny to watch her. She is so light in weight that when she jumps, she gets extra bounces. For example, when she bounced near the exit of one of the jumpies, she bounced herself out and landed on the ground on her butt! Everyone had fun though. Take a look.
Gracie barely took the time to pose for a picture with me.
And what a big girl! She could climb and go down the slides all by herself!
Mommy had fun too. Those slides are fast!
Crawling through all the tunnels was fun for mommy and grandpa. We sure got our workouts.

Happy Baptism Day!

Today was a big day for Presley and Evelyn. It was their Baptism Day! It went very well and no one cried! The day sort of crept up on us. I just booked the day a couple of weeks ago so I did not even send out invites. We kept it close and comfy. The babies looked super cute. Grandma bought them outfits for Christmas. They are white knit and Evie's has pink trim and Presley's has blue trim. Auntie Anne and Uncle Mark are Presley's Godparents and Auntie E is Evie's. Of course Auntie Amy, my sister, is the Godmom for both babies as she is the Catholic one and as you know, in our religion, someone needs to be Catholic. The ceremony went well and quick. Then we went back to Grandma and Grandpa for some food and cake. It was a great day!

Welcome Baby Levi!

Welcome to the world Baby Levi!

Born today January 22, 2010

7:42 am

8 lbs. 2 oz.

20 in.

My friend Jessica has her 2nd baby today! It's been fun being pregnant with her the past several months. Gracie and big brother Scott are BFF's. We have been having TONS of playdates since I have been off work. Last summer the two became friends while we went swimming. Now they are great friends and Gracie is always asking to play with Scotty!

Jessica and I had a lot of fun sharing our pregnancies. This time she found out that she was having boy and I didn't find out. She shared the story of having her first c-section with Scott since it would be my first c-section. We had fun doing lots of things with our first borns like taking them to bouncy houses.

and taking them to Chuck E. Cheese. It was fun dragging our pregnant butts around and now it will be even more fun dragging even more kids in tow. Although it will be easier without the big bellies (assuming I can ever lose mine).

Congrats Dunn family on baby Levi! Presley can't wait to play!

Meeting Baby Blake

Today we finally took a trip to visit my cousin Jen, her daughter Addie, and her new baby Mr. Blake. He was born on December 28th and we have been waiting to see him. Of course I brought all the kiddies with me. Gracie and Addie were busy playing with Addie's kitchen set and had fun eating ice cubes. Presley and Evie were awake too, although they really just wanted to eat. It's crazy to think that we both have kids since it seems like yesterday we were playing with dolls, kitchens and making movies as kids ourselves. It was fun compaing mommy stories and it's nice to know I'm not the only one who is exhausted all the time. Blake is so cute and I can't wait until him and Presley are busy running around those Mueller parties of ours! Thanks for letting us visit Jen!

Twins at 2 Months Old!

videoWell I am a couple days late in posting this, as you know life is busy, busy, busy! On Monday, my babies were 2 months old! I can't believe how fast the time is flying! Yesterday we had our 2 month checkup. Both are growing well. Presley, who was born at 8 pounds, now weighs 13.5 pounds! Evie who was born at 6.4 pounds, now weighs 9.10 pounds! They are in perfect health and I am so happy. Big sis Gracie came with too to help. The only thing that did not go well yesterday was the shots. Both screamed for awhile. They were even fussy in the afternoon but nothing a little Tylenol couldn't cure. I remember Gracie being very fussy after her 2 month shots too. Anways, babies are eating well but also playing well too. Both are smiling, which I am trying to get on camera. They love their little jungle gym you see in the video. They swat at the toys and grab on to things. Pretty soon they will be rolling over, and sitting by themselves. As much anxious as I am for them to reach all these milestones, I need to make sure I soak in every minute because these moments will be gone in a minute!

Can You Tell Me How To Get, How to Get To Sesame Street?

Well, we found Sesame Street Live on Saturday at the Rialto. This was the second year that we attended the event. Gracie loves Sesame Street, especially Elmo. Last year, my sister won tickets to go see it. This year Grandma was kind enough to purchase tickets so Gracie, Grandpa, Auntie Amy and I could go. It was a lot of fun too. The whole gang was there; Elmo, Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Oscar, Abbey, Zoe, Rosita, Grover, and even the Count. It is a cute show. It is all singing and dancing and really holds the attention of all the kiddies. Although it was never truly quiet in the theater, the kids managed to still be entertained. And it was just long enough because at the end, the kids were getting ancy and ready to go.

And you know the place made a killing selling these fancy Elmo balloons at $10 a pop! Of course Grandpa sprung for Gracie to get one.

And Mommy made sure that we had the program and a pennant. (Ignore the hat hair with her bangs.)

And here we are enjoying the show. See ya next year Sesame Street gang!

We're Getting Closer.....

To potty training that is. Past attempts have failed. I tried over the summer but Gracie was not ready as she was not very interested. Sure she would go when we were running her bath water but that was about it. I was hoping to have her out of diapers by the time the twins came alongs. Well that didn't work out. Now I have 3 kids in diapers and in different sizes. Actually, we just ran out of newborn size diapers for little Evie so she has graduated up to size 1 with Presley. As some of you may know, we had a double duty diaper bash (best thing we ever did). We thankfully still have a bajillion size 1 diapers to use. But we did use the size 3's we got to cover Miss Gracie's little butt. Well those have since ran out too.
Anyways, Gracie is finally showing some interest in using the potty now. She tells us when she needs a new diaper and asks to go sit on the potty. She has gone pee-pee several times now and we are so excited! She loves doing it too. She even shuts the door and don't even get me started on how she enjoys flushing! So we let her wear her big girl underwears the other day. She has Elmo ones and got Princess ones for Christmas. Here she is modeling her Belle undies! They hang off of her skinny little body but she loved them anyways. I am going to start having her wear them everyday so she can see how much fun they are. I'm sure there will be accidents but we got to get this girl trained. She is 2 1/2 now and I am registering her for preschool next week! From panties to preschool! Yikes!

Old Friends and New Friends

I finally have the chancce to post something new. Last week, I organized a little reunion/playdate with some old friends from college. Sorority sisters really. Alpha Sigma Alpha to be exact. Some of which I hadn't seen pretty much since my wedding. It's sad that we hadn't done the best of jobs at staying in touch but we reconnected through the magic of technology aka, facebook! So here we are, 9 years since college graduation, (man, it's been that long already?) married with kids of our own. My friend Katie even has a set of twin girls of her own! We're like our own little twin club!

For starters, we had a little picnic in my kitchen. We pused the table out of the way and sat on the floor and ate lunchables.

Scott and Adam didn't want to sit down and eat. They were interested in many other things.

Miss Gracie posing with her cheese and crackers because she refused to eat her meat!

Presley and Evie had too much fun and decided to take a nap.

Here's all the kiddos-Lanie, Lily, Winnie, Presley, Scott, Evie, Gracie, and Adam.

The next time we get together, there will be 3 more. Jessica, Anne, and Amy are all having babies! Yay!

I know these are all future EIU panthers. They are also headed for soroity life (Alpha Sigma Alpha or fraternity life perhaps in Delta Sigma Phi)

And here are some of the greatest friends a girl could ask for.
Love ya Jesscia, Anne, Katie, and Amy. Although Katie will always be Pielin and Amy will always be Loven. Let's get together again soon!
